The Effect of Arguments on Children

It is widely known (though often forgotten) that adult conflict has an impact on children. Reducing that conflict is one of the many benefits of resolving family issues as quickly and amicably as possible, and one of the reasons we do what we do.

This controversial film powerfully demonstrates the effect of even a relatively mild disagreement on a young child - note the difference in play before and after the "row". Multiply that by years and then imagine what effect it would have.
